Professional Diving Center in El Gouna Egypt

Our dive center at the Movenpick Resort El Gouna puts you right on the waterfront of one of Egypt's most stylish resort towns. El Gouna's location, just 25 km north of Hurghada, offers quick access to some of the northern Red Sea's most pristine reefs—with far fewer divers than the busier Hurghada marinas.

Why Dive from El Gouna?

El Gouna is built around lagoons and channels, giving our dive boats protected, calm-water departures year-round. From our pier at the Movenpick, you're just 15-40 minutes by speedboat from the legendary dive sites of the Straits of Gubal: Shaab El Erg (famous for its resident dolphin pod), the wrecks of Abu Nuhas, and the vibrant walls of Fanadir. The protected marine environment here means healthier corals and more abundant marine life than many over-dived spots closer to Hurghada.

Dive Sites You Can Reach

From El Gouna you have direct access to Shaab El Erg (dolphins), the Abu Nuhas wreck graveyard (Carnatic, Giannis D, Chrisoula K), Fanadir North and South, and the outer reefs of Gubal Island. Full-day safaris to the Thistlegorm are also available.

Courses Offered

We run the full PADI curriculum from Discover Scuba Diving through to Divemaster, plus specialty courses like Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diver, and Wreck Diver — all in English, German, French, Dutch, and Italian.

RECEPTION

The reception of the diving center is 7 days a week open from 08:00 - 18:00 in summer and from 08:00 - 17:00 in winter.
Our professional and multilingual staff will be happy to answer all your questions and help you with your check-in and check-out.
To avoid the rush hour, it is best to come to check-in or check-out and around 10:00 or 15:00.

SCUBA DIVING EQUIPMENT

We offer our guests only brand new and high-quality scuba diving equipment of ScubaPro.
Following the safety standards we maintain the scuba equipment on a regular basis.

SCUBA TANKS

We dive with regularly maintained aluminium tanks. You can choose between 8, 10, 12 and 15 liter air or Nitrox tanks.

COMPRESSOR ROOM

We care about safety standards and high quality equipment, so we use a brand new BAUER Compressor Systems and a NRC compressor for Nitrox. Have one of our staff show you our compressor room!

DIVING BOATS

Our daily half-day and full-day diving boats are very comfortable and well-equipped. We use:
Feluca boats for half-day and short distance trips starting at 9 am for two dives and at 2 pm for one dive. They offer sundeck, toilet, 1 engine 115 ps - 11 meter.
Daily boats for full-day and long distance trips with two or three dives. They offer sundeck, salon, toilets, open boat deck and diving platform. Enjoy a day at sea spoilt with drinks and lunch by our friendly crew.

TRAINING CENTER

The theoretical part of the course is conducted in two comfortable classrooms equipped with a TV set, a white-board and air-conditioner.
