SCUBA WORLS DIVERS – GENERAL RULES

PAYMENTS CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY, REFUND RULES

 

Scuba World Divers is a touristic company according to the law of the Ministry of Tourism of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The company working according to the rules of the Chamber of Diving and Water sports (CDWS).

 

Scuba World Divers website www.scubaworlddivers.com informs the customers about the company and offers several kinds of booking. Scuba World Divers owns the copyright of the materials inside this website. The access to the website doesn’t authorize you to copy and/or propagate such information in any way.

Scuba World Divers can change terms and conditions without committing itself to inform the visitors of this website about changing. The website always contains the actual terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions contain all agreements between customers and Scuba World Divers. Any former terms become invalid with the publication of these terms.

 

Booking

We are responsible for providing and guaranteeing all your booked services. Once your booking is completed (after full payment), you will receive a confirmation by mail with a full description of all the ordered services and payments made. You need print this out and present it at check-in at the diving centre.

Any additional charge and extra-activity will have to be settled online, if ordered in advance, or at the diving centre, if ordered on spot.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you fulfil the necessary prerequisites to participate to the Scuba Diving activities you have booked, in accordance to your certification level and your logged dives.

 

Please note that

a) All divers included in your booking must hold a regular internationally accepted Scuba Diving certification. The certification card must be shown at the Diving Centre upon check-in.

b) All divers have to be in good health and, in case of particular medical conditions, must bring with them a valid scuba diving medical certificate.

c) At check-in at the diving centre you need to fill a Medical self-declaration.

If one of the questions on the form will be answered with YES, and you do not have an valid scuba diving medical certificate from your home country, not older than 1 year, you will be requested to have a medical examination, to declare that your health conditions are suitable for scuba diving activities; you can do a medical examination directly on the spot at the hotel’s doctor (this service is against charge).

 

Change or cancellation of a booking by decision of diver

a) If you need to change or to cancel any of your pre-booked scuba diving activities once you have completed your booking and payment, we will do our best to arrange the changes according to your new request.

It is your responsibility to send us a written request with all needed changes.

b) In cases of a “no show”, by any of the named clients in your booking due to “unforeseen circumstances” (any circumstances which is not foreseeable in any way and not known before by the user), we will accept a change of the user’s name, considering that all required conditions regarding pre-booked services remain unchanged.

Please inform us at least two days before the expected check-in date about the”new user name”.

c) 24 hours before the beginning of your scuba diving activities We need to receive any information about flight schedule changes, which could cause a change in your pre-booked activities plan.

d) No refund will be considered due in cases where you decide to interrupt your scuba diving holiday without a serious and proved reason which doesn’t allow you use pre-booked services.

 

Payments

a) For a confirmed online reservation through the website the full amount has to be paid immediately by credit card to guarantee the reservation to the customer.

b) Scuba World Divers is charging the customer for expenses that credit card companies or banks placed to Scuba World Divers connected to the card payment to Scuba World Divers. Customers will be informed about these expenses.

Scuba World Divers further will charge the customer for any expenses out of a refund to the credit company if the payment was not covered.

 

 

Online booking deal for courses and diving packages:

We provide 5% discount on the standard price of courses and dive packages only, with an online or via mail booking in advance, any other additional costs and fees and are not negotiable.

Online booking is possible minimum 2 days prior the check-in date.

 

Payment conditions

We require a 100% payment by credit card upon booking on our website.

Reservation is confirmed only after credit card payment is received on our account and confirmed to the customer.

This is a standard, non negotiable procedure.

A confirmed reservation by mail or on spot has to be paid:

DSD and any other courses at check-in, all dives, dive packages latest at check-out

Final payment to Scuba World Divers can be done in cash (in Euro, US Dollar, British pound, Egyptian pound) or by credit card: VISA and Master card

 

Cancellation policy

Up to the 20th day prior the first day of diving activity 10 % of the total booking amount will be charged in case of cancellation.

From the 19th day to the 10th day prior to the first day of diving activities, 30% of the total booking amount will be charged.

From the 9th day to the 2nd day prior to the first day of diving activities, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged

From less than 2 days: 100 % of the total booking amount will be charged.

 

Change or cancellation by decision of diving centre

In cases when it is impossible for Scuba World Divers to provide pre-booked services due to "unforeseen circumstances" (circumstances or situations out of our control, such as strikes, wars, terrorism, power cuts, industrial disputes, etc.), or if  the diving center does not offer the trip, because the minimum number of participants has not been reached, the diving center will
(a) provide an alternative and equivalent service by price and characteristics, if available, or
b) provide partly the service and refund the unrealized service, or
c) a full refund of the total amount.

 

General rules

To your own safety and enjoyment, Scuba World Divers strongly recommends taking an check dive at the start of your dive vacation, especially if you did not dive for a long time and Red Sea is not your usual scuba diving environment. This check dive will help you regain confidence in diving and diving equipment if you have not been able to dive for a certain period of time and will definitely help you to gain confidence in the special diving conditions in the Red Sea.
Regardless of your dive level, we recommend that you begin your dive holiday with a Refresher program, "Scuba Review" if your last dive was more than 1 year ago,  to dive safely and enjoy your dive as much as possible.

 

Complaints

If you have any complaints during your dive holiday we suggest you should inform as soon a possible the diving centre manager to give him the chance to find a solution as fast and efficiently as possible. If your issue cannot be solved during your dive holiday, we would like to invite you to send a written complaint to Scuba World Divers Management within 14 days after you left. We will answer you within 10 days by email.

Excerpt of the Environment protection law
