Overview

The "Small" Pinnacle with a Big Surprise

Tobia Al Saghaira, translating to "The Small Tobia," is the charming counterpart to its larger sibling and a fantastic dive site in its own right. This beautiful pinnacle proves that great things come in small packages and is celebrated for its intricate structure and a very special feature: a small, safe, and wonderfully photogenic swim-through arch at its base.

The dive plan is a simple, multi-level circumnavigation of the pinnacle, which allows plenty of time to appreciate its beauty. The pinnacle is covered in a carpet of vibrant soft corals and is often surrounded by a dense school of shimmering glassfish. A slow and careful search of the reef will reveal scorpionfish, moray eels, and large pufferfish. The calm and protected conditions of Soma Bay's inner reef make this an ideal and exciting dive for those who have recently completed the PADI Open Water Diver course.

The swim-through provides a fantastic photo opportunity and is a fun feature for divers of all levels to enjoy. It’s an excellent site to practice perfect buoyancy control to navigate the arch gracefully, a key skill from the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty. Often paired with Tobia Al Kabeir for a full exploration of the "Tobia" family, this dive is a truly delightful experience.
