Shaab Sheer

Overview

Sha'ab Sheer is a large and wonderfully varied outer reef that provides a fantastic journey for divers of all experience levels. The site consists of a long, expansive reef that masterfully combines the features of a beautiful sloping wall with a magnificent, shallow coral garden. This versatility is its greatest strength, allowing for different dive profiles that can cater to everyone from newly certified divers to seasoned veterans, often on the same dive.

The typical dive plan is a gentle and relaxing one-way drift, letting the current guide you along this impressive structure. Divers can choose their preferred depth and scenery. More experienced divers can explore the deeper sections of the wall, looking for large moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, and schools of unicornfish. Meanwhile, divers who prefer a shallower profile, including PADI Open Water Divers, can glide effortlessly over the top of the vast coral garden. This garden is dotted with dozens of pristine coral blocks, each a hive of activity and a perfect subject for photographers.
