Discover the Charm of Makadi Bay's "Little King"
Not all wrecks have to be colossal giants in the deep. The El Malek El Saghier, or "The Little King," is a charming fishing trawler that offers an intimate and accessible wreck diving experience for everyone. Intentionally sunk as a tourist attraction, this small vessel rests perfectly upright on a sandy seabed, making it the ideal first wreck dive. It’s a photographer's playground and a fantastic site to explore a complete shipwreck from bow to stern in one easy, relaxed dive.

The Dive Plan and Experience
Your adventure on "The Little King" is straightforward and fun. After a simple descent to the sandy bottom at a maximum depth of 18 meters, the entire wreck is yours to discover. We begin the dive by exploring the exterior, circling the propeller and rudder before moving to the main deck. You can peer into the cargo hold, which is now filled with a shimmering cloud of glassfish, and safely explore the open wheelhouse.

The wreck is slowly transforming into a beautiful artificial reef, attracting a surprising amount of life, from camouflaged scorpionfish to colorful nudibranchs. Its shallow depth and clear conditions make it the perfect site to complete your first adventure dive of the course, or to take the first step towards your specialty in a calm, controlled environment.

Why We Recommend This Dive for All Divers
