Overview

Tobia Hamra, which fittingly translates to "Red Tobia," is a truly breathtaking pinnacle dive located in the calm inner reef system of Soma Bay. This site earns its name from the magnificent blanket of red and purple soft corals that cover its main pinnacle, creating a spectacle of color that is simply unforgettable. It's a visually stunning and easy dive, making it a favorite for photographers and divers of all levels.

The dive plan consists of a slow and leisurely multi-level circumnavigation of the main pinnacle. This allows you to fully absorb the beauty of the soft corals, which are often open and feeding in the gentle current, creating a scene of vibrant movement. The pinnacle is swarming with life, from clouds of anthias to moray eels and camouflaged scorpionfish hiding amongst the corals. The outstanding beauty and calm, protected conditions make it an excellent site for new divers, including students on the PADI Open Water Diver course, to experience a world-class reef.

This site is an underwater photographer's paradise. The shallow depth, fantastic light, and incredible color saturation provide the perfect canvas for practicing the techniques learned in the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course. Often dived as part of a trip exploring the "Tobia" family of reefs, like Tobia Arbaa, this site stands out for its unique and vibrant coloration. It’s a dive that will leave you with beautiful images and even more beautiful memories.
